## About
Electric Vehicles 201 - Design and Build your own EV Powertrain (EV 201) is the second of the set of 3 courses designed to skill students in the area of Electric Vehicles.

## Course objective
This course is designed to make a student capable of Intuitively understanding all the important elements of an EV powertrain and also be able to design a complete electric vehicle powertrain with knowledge acquired in this course
## Prerequisites
The knowledge of Basic Physics and Electronics (11-12th grade). Students should have ideally completed EV 101 course as well.
## Hardware requirements
- A Windows laptop
- 2 Arduino boards
- Access to a Soldering iron
- An internet connection
- A breadboard
- (optional) Access to a 3D printer
## Course outcomes
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify various communication protocols and technologies used in-vehicle networks.
- Evaluate and analyse suitable drive scheme, proper energy storage systems and power converter topologies used in EV
- Develop an electric propulsion unit for electric vehicles.
- Design a system, component, or process to meet the desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social etc.
